“I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I’m still trying to figure out how could that be.”
Sunday Single Sentence review:
A sometimes dark, sometimes funny, but consistently meaningful coming of age story, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, (written for the screen and directed by Stephen Chbosky based on his own novel,) strives to simultaneously move, inspire, and entertain, and it succeeds thanks to a well crafted story, near-perfect pacing, and fantastic acting performances, particularly from its three leads, (Logan Lerman, Ezra Miller, and the exquisite Emma Watson).
[The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) - Director: Stephen Chbosky - Rated PG-13 on appeal for mature thematic material, drug and alcohol use, sexual content including references, and a fight - all involving teens]
